Server Rules/OOC

Discord rules

  1. No spamming.

  2. No harassment of any kind within the discord voice/text channels

  3. Keep all posts in appropriate channels please.

  4. Do not DM admins or owners with issues or concerns. Please use the dedicated admin help channel’s for complaints and issues ECT.

  5. No advertising other servers without expressed permission from owners.

General rules

1. Treat everyone in the community with respect! Personal insults, and verbal attacks outside of RP is against the rules and will be dealt with swiftly.


2. Any RP that goes against Twitch Terms of service and rules of conduct is Prohibited.

3. You must be 16 Years of age or higher to play on this server.


4. Forced roleplay is strictly forbidden. If someone contacts you out of character and informs you that they are not comfortable with the roleplay, you MUST respect their wish and move on. However, 'you can’t express discomfort with RP Just to get out of an RP situation.'


5.Erp or Erotic Roleplay is FORBIDDEN. Innuendo is acceptable but sexually explicit content will be dealt with swiftly.


6. There is no tolerance for Sexual assault, Rape, and sexual harassment RP. This includes falsely accusing someone of doing so for RP. Doing so will be met with swift action taken by the Admins.


7. Racism and Racial slurs is strictly prohibited OOC. Racism in character such as against humans or against a fantasy or alien species is generally allowed IC.


8. You must stay in character at all times without exception while on the server. Do not break character for any reason other than what is stated in rule 4 as an exception. If you absolutely need to break character because you have an issue please keep it to a minimum. If you cannot solve it with help. Please file a report if you have problems with another player. 


9. DO NOT broadcast music over voice for any reason. Unless agreed upon by all present parties.


10. Child Characters ARE allowed but MUST be CLEARLY defined with a [C] in front of the character name. This is non-negotiable. Please specify that a child character is under the age of 16. 

  1. You may not use any other special characters in your name for any other reason.


11. You must update your Discord nickname in the Tento RPdiscord channel with your character name. (I.E: Kitsura (Sophia Derraroe)


12. Glitching, Hacking, and exploiting are strictly prohibited.


13. The Rules Must be read, followed, and obeyed by all players. Claiming ignorance will not grant pardon from admin action being taken.


14. You must roleplay as a character YOU created. You may not RP as a character from another cannon universe. (I.E. Batman or Bruce wayne)


Metagaming


Metagaming: is a term used in role-playing games, which describes a player's use of real-life knowledge concerning the state of the game to determine their character's actions, when said character has no relevant knowledge or awareness under the circumstances.


  1. Metagaming and stream snipping is STRICTLY prohibited and will be dealt with swiftly.

Metagaming also includes identifying people or animals, places or things via their nameplates. This is known as nameplating and is prohibited. You may only know a person's name, if a creature is owned by them, or their possessions, if the person themselves tells you in roleplay.

  1. You MAY identify a dead body by the Implant if you posses medic knowledge


  1. If you decide to reroll mid-season, your character can have knowledge of your past character(s), but your new character cannot have any knowledge or memories from that character. You MAY make a Last Will and Will all your possessions to another character. You may NOT will your items to your new character. This Will will be left inside your house in any box. If there is NO Will then the admins will confiscate everything. No inheritance, you may will your utility animals to your new character and nothing else . One reroll per season, unless publicly executed then allowed 3. 


  1. If you Reroll you MUST put a message in the discord “RIP” Room. You will follow the format left there as a guideline.


PVP Rules


  1. PvP must be initiated verbally and with appropriate RP build up. Drawing a weapon after threats have been spoken is considered a hostile action and can be an initiation for PVP.

  2. After PVP has been initiated, and you decide to run, you can be attacked without vocalization  or up to 15 minutes after you disengage from the combat. After 15 minutes PVP rules re-apply to the situation and new RP buildup must be made to re-enter combat.

  3. Combat Logging is against the rules. (Combat logging is the act of Logging out in the middle of combat.)

  4. If your character is knocked out or unconscious you must RP this. When unconscious you won't be able to speak coherently. If handcuffed or unconscious, the use of Radio chat doesn’t make sense, and therefore is prohibited

  5. Kidnapping and capture RP must be properly RP’d for the duration of the capturing. Leaving a person alone while they are captured for longer than 15 minutes at a time is unacceptable, and they must be let free.

  6.  Turrets outside may be set to players during war-time but cannot target mounts

  7.  Turrets, wires, pipes, ect are NOT considered structures and may be destroyed by dinos during a raid or wartime. 



Raiding

  1. One way in, one way out.

  2. No ‘KOS’ RP has to still be engaged correctly. 

  3. No storing soul dinos in side passive tames to save them

  4. No raiding hub buildings

  5. No killing passive dino's.

  6. No knocking out passive dino's

  7. No foundation wiping

  8. No destroying all spawn points, you must leave at least 1 bed when raiding someone.

  9. You must declare your intentions to raid someone at least 1 hours in advance.

  10. You must leave a note after a raid pointing to yourself as the culprit

  11. No using dinos to destroy structures

  12.  All outdoor turrets must be set to “Wild Only”.


Building Rules


  1. No large compounds

  2. No blocking resource spawns

  3. No blocking cave entrances and resource caves, empty caves are okay. 

  4. No blocking cave pathways

  5. No land locking

  6. No building large boats,the hub is excluded.


Dino Breeding/Taming rules


  1. You may leave up to 12 dinos unattended. This includes shoulder mounts but excludes utility animals such as beavers, doedics, ankys, etc. Tag your dinos appropriately. Example : "Rocky [Bob] [F]" F = Farming, B = Breeding, ect.  

  2. No offline breeding

  3. Outside dinos must be left on neutral and that dinos left in or around the hub areas must be left on passive only.
